ܘܐܢܐ ܐܚܝ ܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܬ ܕܐܡܠܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܡ ܪܘܚܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܡ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܠܘܕܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ
bmshykh' dlylwd' w'yk pgrn' dem 'yk 'l' rwkhn' dem 'yk emkwn d'mll 'shkkhth l' 'khy w'n'
Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.

ܚܠܒܐ ܐܫܩܝܬܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܗܫܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn mshkkhyn hsh' 'pl' 'l' hwythwn mshkkhyn edkyl gyr l' m'kwlth' lkwn yhbth wl' 'shqythkwn khlb'
I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready,

ܥܕܟܝܠ ܓܝܪ ܒܒܣܪ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܚܣܡܐ ܘܚܪܝܢܐ ܘܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܒܒܣܪ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn mhlkyn wbbsr 'nthwn pgrn' h' l' wplgwth' wkhryn' khsm' bkwn d'yth gyr 'yk' 'nthwn bbsr gyr edkyl
for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?

ܡܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܓܝܪ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܕܦܘܠܘܣ ܐܢܐ ܘܐܚܪܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܦܠܘ ܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܗܐ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ
'nthwn pgrn' h' l' 'n' d'plw 'n' 'mr w'khrn' 'n' dpwlws 'n' mnkwn 'nsh 'nsh gyr d'mr m'
For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?

ܡܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܦܘܠܘܣ ܐܘ ܡܢܘ ܐܦܠܘ ܐܠܐ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܕܒܐܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܗܝܡܢܬܘܢ ܘܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' lh dyhb 'yk 'nsh w'nsh hymnthwn db'ydyhwn mshmshn' 'l' 'plw mnw 'w pwlws gyr mnw
Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him?

ܐܢܐ ܢܨܒܬ ܘܐܦܠܘ ܐܫܩܝ ܐܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܒܝ

I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.

ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܘ ܕܢܨܒ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܕܡ ܘܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܡܫܩܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܡܪܒܐ
dmrb' 'lh' 'l' dmshq' hw wl' mdm 'ythwhy dntsb hw hkyl l'
So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

ܡܢ ܕܢܨܒ ܕܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܕܡܫܩܐ ܚܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܥܡܠܗ ܐܓܪܗ ܡܩܒܠ
mqbl 'grh emlh 'yk w'nsh 'nwn khd dmshq' wmn dyn dntsb mn
Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

ܥܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܦܠܚܝܢܢ ܘܦܘܠܚܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܒܢܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn 'nthwn d'lh' wbnyn' d'lh' wpwlkhn' plkhynn gyr 'lh' em
For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.

ܘܐܝܟ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܣܡܬ ܫܬܐܣܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܕܟܠܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܠܝܗ ܒܢܐ ܟܠܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܢܚܙܐ ܐܝܟܢ ܒܢܐ ܥܠܝܗ
elyh bn' 'ykn nkhz' dyn klnsh bn' elyh dyn 'khrn' khkym' 'rdkl' 'yk shth'sth' smth ly d'thyhbth d'lh' Tybwth' w'yk
According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.

ܫܬܐܣܬܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܗܕܐ ܕܣܝܡܐ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܣܡ ܕܐܝܬܝܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ
mshykh' yshwe d'ythyh lmsm mshkkh l' 'nsh dsym' hd' mn sTr 'khrth' gyr shth'sth'
For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.

ܘܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܒܢܐ ܥܠ ܗܕܐ ܫܬܐܣܬܐ ܕܗܒܐ ܐܘ ܣܐܡܐ ܐܘ ܟܐܦܐ ܝܩܝܪܬܐ ܐܘ ܩܝܣܐ ܐܘ ܥܡܝܪܐ ܐܘ ܚܒܬܐ
khbth' 'w emyr' 'w qys' 'w yqyrth' k'p' 'w s'm' 'w dhb' shth'sth' hd' el bn' dyn 'nsh w'n
But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;

ܥܒܕܐ ܕܟܠܢܫ ܡܬܓܠܐ ܝܘܡܐ ܓܝܪ ܗܘ ܓܠܐ ܠܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܢܘܪܐ ܡܬܓܠܐ ܘܥܒܕܗ ܕܟܠܢܫ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܢܘܪܐ ܬܦܪܫܝܘܗܝ
thprshywhy nwr' 'ythwhy 'ykn' dklnsh webdh mthgl' dbnwr' mTl lh gl' hw gyr ywm' mthgl' dklnsh ebd'
each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.

ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܢܩܘܐ ܥܒܕܗ ܗܘ ܕܒܢܐ ܐܓܪܗ ܢܩܒܠ
nqbl 'grh dbn' hw ebdh dnqw' w'yn'
If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.

ܘܐܝܢܐ ܕܥܒܕܗ ܢܐܩܕ ܢܚܣܪ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܢܫܬܘܙܒ ܗܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܢܘܪܐ
nwr' dmn 'yk dyn hkn' nshthwzb dyn hw nkhsr n'qd debdh w'yn'
If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.

ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܗܝܟܠܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܪܘܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܥܡܪܐ ܒܟܘܢ
bkwn emr' d'lh' wrwkhh d'lh' 'nthwn dhyklh 'nthwn ydeyn l'
Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

ܘܡܢ ܕܡܚܒܠ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܚܒܠ ܠܗ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܕܝܫ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn d'nthwn hw qdysh d'lh' gyr hyklh 'lh' lh mkhbl d'lh' hyklh dmkhbl wmn
If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.

ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܛܥܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܕܣܒܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܚܟܝܡ ܗܘ ܒܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܣܟܠܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ
khkym' dnhw' skl' lh nhw' hn' belm' hw dkhkym bkwn dsbr mn npshh nTe' l' 'nsh
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

ܚܟܡܬܗ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܠܘܬܐ ܗܝ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܟܬܝܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܒܚܪܥܘܬܗܘܢ
bkhrewthhwn khkym' d'khd gyr hw kthyb 'lh' lwth hy llwth' hn' delm' gyr khkmthh
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”

ܘܬܘܒ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܕܥ ܡܚܫܒܬܗܘܢ ܕܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܣܪܝܩܢ ܐܢܝܢ
'nyn dsryqn dkhkym' mkhshbthhwn yde mry' wthwb
And again, “The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܢܫ ܢܫܬܒܗܪ ܒܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܓܝܪ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ
hw dylkwn gyr klmdm bbnynsh' nshthbhr 'nsh l' hn' mTl
Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

ܐܢ ܦܘܠܘܣ ܘܐܢ ܐܦܠܘ ܘܐܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܐܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܘܐܢ ܚܝܐ ܘܐܢ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܐܢ ܕܩܝܡܢ ܘܐܢ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ
hw dylkwn mdm kl dethydn w'n dqymn w'n mwth' w'n khy' w'n elm' w'n k'p' w'n 'plw w'n pwlws 'n
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,
